The accessory symbol should be a 2D/3D hybrid object. At a minimum, the symbol must contain a 2D representation. Keep the accessory representation as simple as possible to reduce rendering time. The Object Info palette for accessories and lighting instruments looks identical, but the Device Type differs (Light, Accessory, or Static Accessory).Accessories should have a record attached for storing the default accessory values. The record should not contain fields that vary from instance to instance of an accessory. For example, do not add a Color Scroller channel field value unless that channel is used by all the color scrollers in the file.
